"Best Friends Enjoying the View," Smith Rock State Park

This piece took me a quite a bit longer, because it includes my sweet friend Kelly, her best friend, Kai, and a truly majestic and iconic place in Oregon.

Smith Rock State Park holds a very special place in the hearts of Oregonians, and for my friend Kelly, it is also where she met her husband! So in order to do this place justice and capture the serene moment of awe in taking it all in, I took my time with this one (not to mention finding time to paint with small children in the house)!

This was also painted with a purpose! I am happy to announce that, "Best Friends Enjoying the View," is now available at auction for a great cause... helping to raise money for pets in critical need of veterinary care in Central Oregon. Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon is hosting a launch event and silent auction for their Pets Forward charity fund, and as someone who has seen first-hand how this program has saved the lives of dogs and cats, and the deep impact that has had on their families, JEL Art Creations is proud to donate this painting, and contribute to this amazing fund!

The auction is now live through 11/7/25, and there are several great items available. Take a look, and please consider placing a bid and supporting the cause. Here is the link: Pets Forward Charity Auction Items

Art on the Coast, Port of Brookings Harbor was Amazing!

I am filled with gratitude for the great experience we had at the Art on the Coast, Port of Brookings show on August 2nd and 3rd. Everyone in Brookings treated us warmly and it was so much fun enjoying this event with my fellow vendors!

Saturday was busy and lively with lots of foot traffic, and my new greeting cards were a big hit. Sunday was a little more laid back, but the conversations were longer as people lingered and connected with me a little more. I also thoroughly enjoyed the perfect weather with some live painting, and the painting I finished on-site sold on-site (the paint was still wet)!

My family had fun visiting the activity booths and exploring around town (and of course the beach!), and the support and positive feedback I received at my art booth was encouraging. I'm so happy to have made some new connections with people, knowing my artwork will be enjoyed in their homes and shared with their families. To top it off, I was overjoyed to get to see so many Brown Pelicans right there in the harbor, flying right passed my booth (stay tuned for a new pelican piece or two!) I can't wait to do this event again next year!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, as well as to friends and family who were wishing me success from back home.
